Several times I walked to my kitchen door to stare in frustration at the wet balcony floor: yesterday I had applied a first layer of dark gray paint and I had planned to apply the second layer today.
Then finally it struck me that the droplets gathering at the outer edge of the floor were actually beautiful, and had pretty reflections of the railing: I went back to grab my camera and turn frustration into creation.
Because the floor has a rough surface, the droplets gathering on it are irregular in shape – combined with the reflection of the railing, some of them almost look like little shells.
