A little break from the harbors series – last Saturday (2010-07-24) was the third World Wide Photo Walk, the first for me to take part. Exciting to know there were 1111 walks all over the world with a whopping 31960 registered walkers, all enjoying photography and each others’ company on the same day! I chose to take part in Almere because I’d never been there before: Jantheo was the ‘leader’ and had devised a route with the theme ‘color’. So much fun to see that even before we had reached our target area, people were shooting off in all directions, finding color and doing their own ‘thing’: the modern architecture could wait, there was water, and plants, and wall paintings, and – well – photographers! :)
Two shots of two different buildings taken to emphasize their simple but rhythmic lines in the architecture. In this building the blue glass of various shades contrasts with the white lines of the construction (the contrast emphasized here by setting the polarization filter to maximum filtering).
