A bike, with a child seat, toppled over – nothing out of the ordinary, in Amsterdam. On the shadow side of the street, very ordinary. Covered with a dusting of snow, but then all bikes were.
But purely by coincidence, a window on the other (sunny) side of the street catches the sun and reflects a ray of sunlight right on the middle of that toppled bike. Suddenly, it’s a little drama…

Amazing indeed: my mouth literally dropped open when I noticed this. Then when I realized the effect was caused by an open window, I had to hurry to capture it before that window was closed again… while paying attention not to be run over because I had to stand on the street to capture from this angle. :)

Prachtig vastgelegd! (heb jij hem daar voor de foto even neergelegd….? Grapje!)
Ja, voor de sneeuwbui in het donker speciaal daarnaar toegelopen, en terwijl ik aan het wandelen was nog even dat raam aan de overkant opengezet. ;) Dus niet…
Ik heb al heel wat gevallen fietsen gezien (en gefotografeerd) maar dit lichteffect was wel heel bijzonder. Stom geluk dat ik er op het goede moment was.
