Shot on my “Dutch bikes” in the snow shoot yesterday (2010-01-30). I’ll leave you to guess just what it is (and keep it out of the tags for now ;)). Any takers?
Finally! My friend Carla guessed what it is: it’s a detail of a pannier!

No, it’s not a cover for the bike – it’s the cover of a pannier! See updated description. :)

We call it saddle bags in South Africa!
Taschja that’s interesting! Because what we call a “saddle bag” (zadeltas) is actually fastened to the saddle or directly under it to the frame, but sitting above the back wheel’s rack. I’ll see if I can find a picture but I don’t have one handy right now (remind me if I don’t!).
So, points for guessing correctly – but Carla still beat you to it: when we looked last night there was no trace of a feature or comments yet. ;)
