Cultural surfaces are the surfaces humans construct to adapt their environment to suit themselves: fences and walls, windows and doors in walls, floors, ceilings and roofs, pavement. The culture reveals itself in many aspects: technology used, the ‘how we do things here’, how the surfaces are used or modified, etc.
The photos on this calendar were all taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in the period 2010-2012.
