Pray

Pray for sunrise as it might be the last one you will see;
Pray for warmth if your soul is cold and doesn’t want to be;
Pray for luck to carry you through the day ahead;
Pray for rain to calm you down today instead;
Pray for love to have someone to hold and kiss;
Pray for family to know what it is to miss;
Pray for pain to remind you that you’re still alive;
Pray for dreams to carry you away at night;
Pray for dark to hide your tears and mask your heart;
Pray for something that will help you with new starts;
Pray for music that you’ll listen to before you sleep;
Pray for sleep at all, it’s something that’s so hard to keep;
Pray for magic to make you a bit more glad;
Pray for toys to lift your spirits when you’re sad;
Pray for voices when the silence hurts much more;
Pray for somewhere you can lose your soul and core;
Pray for nightmares when your dreams don’t help at all;
Pray for death when there is nothing to pray for.
