Patterns on a shell

Watercolour (no other mediums)

I have spent so many hours painting shells as i love the pattern and their shape and even their feel.
I painted this shell pattern at the end of many hours painting shells. None of the paintings had worked well and i knew i had stuff to get done, so i quickly painted this painting and it was the most interesting of the lot.

    So lovely, the different densities. Interesting, what you said about doing a lot of paintings that hadn’t worked well, then this quickly, and it turned out to be the most interesting. Similar things happen to me.
