Arletta
How do you put wood grain over watercolor? And, no smart, if true, answer, such as :very well! lol
Please?
Anyway, outside of having no idea what you mean, as far as technique/material goes, I have to say that this is stunning! I love cellists! Or, cellos, anyway! Not sure I know any cellists.

Hi Arletta – love the way you asked this question – lol! I painted the cellist in watercolour first and then i inked up a slat of wood and ran him thru the press and voila! Hope that makes sense.

Very neat; I was wondering myself what wood grain over watercolor was. It’s amazing the kind of techniques you can apply to watercolor!

Now…I think this is my favourite….but I keep finding new ones
There’s soooo much in this, such depth and subtlety that the longer you look the more you see. One of the most brilliantly understated pieces I’ve seen ~ _anywhere!!
Deceptively simple, minimalist and concise, but the watercolour lends a degree of self interpretation on the part of the viewer…if you get what I mean. I know what I’m trying to say but fear I am failing miserably to communicate it.
So I’ll keep it simple…..AWESOME WORK!!!!!...xxxxOo
