    the combination of these colors/tones is unusual but soo works.. and the feel of this woman gives a casual and powerful statement…. I was waiting for what was next… feminine and purposeful .. Like the artist herself..

    Marion – this is wonderful and makes me think of how we should accept ourselves unconditionally. If we can feel compassion for who we are and where we then it gives us an opportunity to surrender and open the door of self – acceptance. I find your use of colour and design very inspiring and it reminds me of something from The Thousand and One Nights......
    *Be mild when thou art troubled by rage, and be patient when calamity befalleth thee;
    For the nights are pregnant with events, and give birth to every kind of wonder.Sx

    I like this unusual, collage-like effect, Marion. As well as appreciating the contours of the female form, of course!
    Imaginative and nicely composed.

    Fascinating image! For some reason, I seem to be reminded of Matisse. ;-)

    What I most love about viewing your gallery, is that it is extremely interesting the way you do constant switch mediums and experiment with using various different styles; basically, this means the viewer really doesn’t know exactly what to expect, next; and, just keeps on clicking to see the next page; you keeping them guessing all the way from start to finish.

  • Marion Chapman replied

    interesting you would mention Matisse because your work reminds me of Matisse, esp the later stuff.
    What a great comment about me changing media – i do it all the time and you’ve put such a positive spin on it. Thanks so much!!
