Gum leaves ethereal

Marion Chapman

Gum leaves ethereal

Watercolour
300gsm Saunders stretch with a staple gun over 1cm thick board. Staple guns are goooooood.
Lots of thalo, of course. (What’s with the optional spelling of Phthalo – I am all for only spelling thalo as thalo and kicking out the ancient greek ph-.)

Gum leaves ethereal belongs to the following groups:

Light In The Darkness, Shadows & Reflections, Water Media (Paintings by hand only) and Works On Paper Available for sale as

Greeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

Very nice, I read one of your comments and you might want to try this. When I was still actually painting, not computer, I bought these cheap stretch gessoed canvases. I would stretch the wet paper by wrapping it and staplling it to the back. It would stretch tight as a drum, but still had some flex and would hold moisture longer. An old commercial art trick.

  • Marion Chapman replied

hey, thanks so much for the tip – i will definitely try that !
