What an amazing sight! This is the seat of a chair in the lane way behind a restaurant at Wellesley and Yonge Street, Toronto Ontario Canada. The seat is showing wear and tear and this is the pattern of disintegration, with organic, flowing forms in the synthetic fibre.

I since returned, and while the chair remained, its flowering tree has faded into the elements.

Incredible patterns in this disintegrating fabric! You just never know where you will find material for a good abstract! Great find, Marilyn.

  • Dot – what a good pun ‘material’ for a good abstract turned out to be ‘material’!!

Ah, glad you caught that pun, Marilyn! Now the question is, did I do that intentionally? I’ll never tell….

  • To tell or not to tell, that is the question!
