    Nice one Marilyn

  • Thanks so much Michael!

I thought of you just a few days ago when a coyote came into our yard from the creek (Mimico Creek connects to Lake Ontario and to the Humber so has an extensive travel area for animals). What an astonishing sight at dusk – like a ghost in the snow. So large, so focused on finding those chipmunks and mice. When I knocked on the kitchen window it looked up with pugilism (is that a word? as in pugilistic). So different than the foxes who have confidence in everything they do.

It’s wonderful to have met the natural world through your work on redbubble – it’s a beginner’s mind that you have inspired and I thank you!

Thank you very much Marilyn. Coyotes are beautiful animals, often misunderstood. But they will kill livestock if given the chance. Some sheep farmers in my area have apparently had some rams killed by coyotes.
