This is my favourite lily growing in my brother’s hybridizing field which we’ve named Lilycrest Gardens. It’s because it is such a tiny plant, and is under a foot (there are lilies that are 8 feet tall). He thought this was someone else’s hybrid “Peanuts” at first, and after a while started to see the many variations of it and how cute it was to other people too, and then realized it wasn’t Peanuts but a hybrid of Peanuts. So when the end of the year came and I wanted to order some of this little Peanuts for my garden, what a shock! He’s keeping them all for sorting, further hybridizing and developing a saleable bulb. So I guess next fall, I might be able to make friends with this little tiny gem in my garden!
