Artist's Description

A thousand year old tradition of making cookie and candy decorated gingerbread houses. The rich molasses dough originated in Europe, where it was used to make many treats for holidays, weddings and festive celebrations.

Legend claims that Jakob Grimm who wrote “Hansel and Gretal” started the custom of baking gingerbread houses at Christmas time. It became very popular that you can still find bakery shops throughout Europe and Germany today filled with beautiful gingerbread houses.

I decided to make my own gingerbread house from scratch this year hope you like it :)
