Domestic Crude: Soul Murder 2009

This calendar contains very graphic yet symbolic pictures. It is designed to address the horror of domestic violence and to combat our culture’s denial one image at a time. None of these image portray actual injuries. They are visual representations of the injury to mind, body, spirit and soul of all victims and their perpetrators.

utterly amazing work, for the first time on redbubble i am effected in a deep moving way to this work you have created. i lived thru 13 yrs of DV and growing up in that has effected my entire life. i’m blown away with this work. it is the most telling piece of written/pictorial work on DV i’ve ever seen and I’ve seen alot. WOW! you have made me really think how can i help our society to see the seriousness of this issue because it is so prevalent and hidden. thank you so much for your effort and work here it is truly a great service to DV.

Powerful and emotive. I feel this issue is more out in the open nowadays, but even one incident of this kind is one too many. Education, good example and protection for the victims can help to eradicate this blot on our domestic landscape. But how can we ever teach kids that violence is wrong, when they see it in their own home as a matter routine.

  • Marie Monroe replied

thank you, Denis. I’m glad this touched you and I share your sentiments.
