A celebration of fish
oil on stretched canvas, 45×45 cm
merely a fun painting of fish ; -D
not to be confused with ” a fun painting of merely fish ”!!
this painting was inspired by a lively discussion (which was not supposed to be about fish!) in the forum of the Painters in modern times group here:

A celebration of fish belongs to the following groups:

So pleased I got here first to set the tone.
I hope you are going to put this up for critique in the PMT group.
Then I will be able to expand on the positive aspects of this work – a beautifully elegant and flowing painting, so reminiscent of Matisse’s “La Danse”.
One question though – where are the fish? – are they hiding behind these two giant tadpoles?

Lovely painting, like a Celtic knot design (barbarian Welshmen love things like this) also has a wonderful BLUE background!! (and my star sign is Pisces) how could I not love it!
Mufa is right – put it in the critique forum – lets have fun!!

Lovely colour choice. This would look great used selectively in a fabric design.
