The void deep inside my soul, where the sky meets the sea
Cloudless shape of lace envelopes every trace of you
Standing on the precipice of life, nearly touching death without you
Each smell of every season, gives memory to reason
The ocean of life looks scary without you
The storm passes, life becomes worth the wait
Sometimes I snatch a glimpse of you
Your gone again, too late.
Without you nothing seems the same,
The burning sun, refreshing rain
Where is your boat on life’s seas?
I’m waiting safely in harbour
Come back to me.
Even for a moment which will never be enough
a year or an eternity, without your gentle smile
I trace the gloss upon your picture
for just a little while.
Some days I am strong, I feel like I belong
Today I am lost without you.
We had plans I now need to rewrite my story
Just for the glory
Of being without you.

This poem was a free write inspired by a capture on my artwork Without you a beautiful Picture of peaceful ocean In Queensland Australia
It does bring back memories of loss and bereavement….
