eyes wide with terror
anticipate the fall through the open window
your words connect for one moment it’s clear
all you have ever said was a lie
i am falling wings spread
tree branches brush me away
who would want to catch a bird
with broken wings
the fault is yours my heart was yours
no one can trust you
a leader with glossy eyes
pushed me off the edge told me i could fly
when you were not so sure yourself
now you are trapped in the maze you created
heart pounding eyes blinded by pride
who can excape from themselves
with unseeing eyes
the silence screams danger danger
your bird is no longer here to help you
