Awesome! I have tried to shoot bears, with a camera of course, afew times and it is difficult since they usually scamper away! Great capture!

What a wonderful capture. Now for someone who knows nothing about bears is this little guy full grown or just a cub?? Either way I think you are quite brave to have the camers out, I think I would probably have the runners on and getting out of there.
Sometimes I think we are ripped off in Australia, we don’t have animals like this. Our “deadly” creatures are either spiders or reptiles and don’t give us these kinds of shots…

Thanks so much. If you see a small bear without a mother, it is probably a yearling that has left its mother and is on its own.
These black bears in Yosemite aren’t “deadly”. I would have been a bit more cautious had he been :)

Thanks so much. I was out of character that I didn’t feed him. Although I really wanted to!!! If these bears get to comfortable with humans and continually go by camp grounds they will tag them. And if it keeps happening I hate to think that they would do what I heard they do. (that sounded funny)

These ones in Yosemite are of a more “vegetarian prefered” lifestyle.
