thanks leslie, im always searching for ways to use pastel on surfaces without framing under glass, using the cellulose glue alowed me to work the pastel over the oils when they were dry, tricky though!!

beautiful, has created a very soft work of art, i think it’s lovely… i have a similar quest maria…i tend to use acrylics and pastels and inks sometimes, and wish they weren’t always to be framed under glass. I did one on board, and fixed it quite securely with fixative, since there’s a strong base of acrylic and not too much pastel, it seems to work..it’s just in a timber frame, no glass. I love your beautiful work, you are very talented ;)

  • thankyou very much karin, yes its the eternal quest, how to get away with no glass, there is a pastel artist that uses fine layers of acrylic sealer. But as with all sealers you change the nature of the pastel surface when sealing..
