Rock Formations on Bare Island
La Perouse (Botany Bay) Sydney

In 1885 concerned British colonists thought an invasion from Russians was imminent.
Bare Island Fort was built to protect “Sydney’s back door”- Botany Bay – thus settling the minds of the early settlers.

I tend to throw myself into many creative crafts and many of which I don’t always complete., but I always come back to my first love …. photography.

Beautiful and touchable, Maria! As a kid, I used a hammer to break rocks open - always looking for something wonderful, like this. :)

  • I totally relate to hammering rocks … splitting them open to find different colours and textures…. also a great STRESS release……
Thank you for your support my dear Wendy..

Glorious textures! It looks as though you’ve gone mad (in the nicest possible way!) with oil paints.

  • hehehe…. I love how you put that… if only I could create such beauty in my moments of madness…. I’m so delighted with your comments..
