SPENT discarded HEAP
I’m not one to photograph flowers that are on the way out,,, however I chose to capture this very dried up Hydranger ,,, cropped the photo in half,,, to enthasize it’s discarded & spent life (hence the title) ,, a high contrast gave this a high key effect.

When this you sneak this one in? I love high key photography. Composition here is spot on, and the white background only enhances the awesome tones of the flower further. You have given the dull moment of death a great amount of beauty, and not in a morbid Tim Burton kind of way either! This is great, so simple, and so effective.
