The second in my Strange Paths series. I based this on The Paths of the Dead, which Tolkien wrote of in The Lord of The Rings.

Encaustic on A4 card, worked partly on the hot-plate and completed with iron and stylus work.

    Another beautiful, stunning painting. I love your artworks…...they have a lovely quality about them that is very appealling. I love the atmosphere you have created, the dark moonlight night and the cave entrance…......and those gorgeous blues…...........takes my breath away…..:)

    Thank-you Pam. I just go with whatever the wax throws at me and take it a step further. Helps to have a vivid (and often weird) imagination. It’s my escape from the real world!

    Thank-you! I’m sort of doing a series of these as and when I feel the urge! Want to experiment with different colours to see what sort of mood I can create.

    Yes, I saw that face as soon as it appeared! Sometimes things are meant to be!! I just framed this today and it looks fab.

    could you show us it framed on here,, that would be awesome,, I am happy you saw the face too, my eyes arent that great and my glassed need too be replaced,, but as I looked up the steps,, he was there,,,,,gooose bumps again,, LOL,,
