Oh Neil, you are so kind.Thank you very much. Definitively I will let her know.

Oh Helene, thank you so very much. I posted her here, so she can be closer to me. Since I am all day on RB, any time I want to see her I am just clickin the page. Indeed, she is a wonderful person with a big heart.

she looks like a sweet woman….there is nothing like a mother huh?
Yeah, at 7,000 mile distance…. at least we talk very often. Last summer I saw her for the first time afer 8 years..
i just noticed u live in seminole, i recently moved to miramar from nyc and have since curated 2 exhibits, and i posted the call for artists here on rb…wonderin why you didnt enter work? betty is going to be in the masquerade event i am curating to open in ft lauderdale on may 22nd at the gallery 101
I know about the exhibits, but I am not considering myself yet such a great artist to exhibit. Since you mentioned it I can try, it is nothing to loose right? Just let me know what I have to do. Thanks a lot.
well, the masquerade deadline is over now so it is too late now for that, but i will let u know for future exhibits…and did you know that hollywood has an artwalk on the third saturday of every month? it is free to enter, you can google hollywood artwalk, contact them and they will tell you where you can set up…the city of hollywood even pays you $30…you should look into it, it is a nice opportunity to meet other artists in the area and make connections
How strange life it is. I moved from Hollywood here in Tampa Bay, and one day I be moving back there. One of my friends lives in Hollywood, I will ask her to take a look into it. Thank you for letting me know.
awwww…that is terrible she is so far away, my mother lives in virginia now and i am considering moving there to help her, she has glaucoma and is having a hard time since my father passed, my sister lives with here but is in a wheelchair with MS, so they can both use me there to cook and clean and things, and it will be nice to be close to them both too, there is nothing like family, a love that is always unconditional
Indeed, you are right. As I growing older, I miss more the family and traditions. My sister lives in Italy, my mom is by herself. Thanks God, my sister’s son returned to stay with her. We Europeans/latin origin have the tradition of taking care of parents as long they live. Probably this is how in your culture thinks are, right?
well i am a mixture of cultures, my mother’s mother was from greece, her father from cuba and my father from ethiopia…lol..a real mixture huh? but yes culture and tradition are important and valuable throughout life, i also believe in taking care of eachother…our parents took care of us…now we take care of them…i do not believe in this nursing home stuff, my grandmother lived with my mother till she passed at 101 yrs old…this is what “family” is supposed to do…be there for eachother whenever it is possible, i think it is so selfish of many people who are more than able to help their family but too lazy or self centered to do it, they find it so easy to just put their own blood in a “home”… can u imagine being put somewhere you don’t know anyone, no family, no love…i cannot imagine, i think i would rather die
I understand you perfectly. This is exactly how we are and in what we believe. Family is Family. I am not wating to put my son out of the house because he is 18, or charge him for food, or put my mother in the nursing home. I am glad I grew up in that culture; this is what I am teaching my son too. The traditions have to go further, from generation to generation.
Thanks Natalie, for me she is gorgeous. At 73 she looks great and she is very active. Gardening and stuff :))
