total experiment to see if i could draw a face using all my coloured pencils, so there is a bit of all my colours in this.

I have about 50 i think, i have them all in a shoebox, I put them in a pile and randomly used them until I had used all of them, glad you like :)

The experiment worked!
You’ve conveyed the expression, which is really hard to do in a portrait. And especially difficult with coloured pencils I imagine.

I really like using them, I find i can be really detailed without using a tiny brush like when I paint them, they work really well on the black paper too, thanks for the comment, i appreciate your eye :)

You can actually draw. Me, I’d be doodling on napkins still if it wasn’t for digital art.
Reminds me of the face on the cover of King Crimson’s album In the Court of The Crimson King. I’m not really sure why; perhaps your face seems a calmer version of that one.

thanks G, I looked at that, powerful image, maybe I should attempt a more severe face, it probably reminds you of this because of the colours…lol what do you mean i CAN draw? did you doubt me then? everyone draws in their own way, I keep pushing to see how far and how complicated I can go, you dont know until you try, mmm doodles on napkins,,,that reminds me of the guy who invented Monopoly on the back of a napkin..so I wouldn’t throw yours away :),
