Artists are the shamans and the myth-makers of our modern world” ~Joseph Campbell

Art has always been a part of my life. As a child I remember getting lost in art-making. Now as an adult, I teach art to children. My students inspire me and I am captivated by their unique viewpoints and freedom of expression. In my own art, I am drawn primarily to themes of myth, mysticism, spirituality and healing. I draw inspiration from a variety of sources including nature, dreams, shamanism, meditation, science, philosophy, and of course… mythology from all cultures. The portrait is my primary vehicle of expression through which I explore the seen and unseen. I strive to create emotive, honest works that explore the human spirit and hopefully touch the viewer in some way. I love to create representations of different archetypes, including cultural icons, deities, goddesses, angels, shamans, and varied aspects of myself.Thank you for reviewing my work, and taking the time to leave comments. I hope you enjoy visiting my realm.

Hello redbubblers! / Life can get busy with jobs, family, obligations etc. I am wondering when people create-as in what time of the day or night? When do you feel like you make your best art? / I, myself, find that I do my most powerful work late at night, when the world seems to stop – and it is quiet – and time is suspended for a while.
