Magnificent shot Margot :-)
Pat Lucas
Fantastic! Are they tame-ish, do you feed them?
Margot Kiesskalt replied
No, I couldn’t get close enough. I put a seed block out for the Lorikeets but the Galahs don’t tend to use it; just the Lorikeets. I couldn’t hand-feed the Lorikeets either. If I walk past them and ignore them, they’ll happily hang around. If I go out with a camera, they’ll usually take off. This Galah was far enough up in the tree that my presence didn’t trouble him.

Awesome shot. This series is brilliant and you are sooo lucky to see these wonderful birds every day. I would never get any work done lol!!!
Margot Kiesskalt replied
LOL! You are so right. It’s a weekend, but I’m supposed to be doing my homework (upskilling at work). Better get to it then… :-)

Gorgeous capture, Margot. We used to get galahs, cockatoos, corellas and an occasional rosella in the backyard of our last place. unfortunatley, that was in the days before digital, so, the only pics I have are very poor ones.
