Many thanks for your comment. It was such an overcast, dark and drizzly day there yesterday. There was a narrow window of opportunity to get some decent shots when some diffused sunlight got through for around 30 minutes. The winter months are a great time to visit the zoos (if you can tolerate the cold temperatures) because the exhibits are not crowded and the lighting is not too harsh – and reflections on water can be quite pleasing. Sounds good – we can have a mini-Bubblemeet!

Thanks so much for your kind comments – much appreciated. Actually, the only other time I have seen a white-faced heron was in suburbia – on the side of the Frankston Freeway at around 7am on my way in to work.
