I have converted from colour to sepia; duplicated the image and used colour burn mode before flattening; also added border.

Lovely capture Margo but would love to see it in it’s natural state.Do you have HDR if so it would look fantastic. Just a thought.

Thanks for your feedback Noelene. I will put up the original so you can see the results of what I have done. No, I do not have HDR but am considering Photomatix. [I did try the Photoshop CS2 version with one image at -1, 0 and +1 but was not successful with it.]

Margo, I’m going to consolidate my thoughts about this photo, in this form, the original version, and the edited version, here, okay? All three are very nice, but this version sets a particular mood that the others do not. The sepia tint gives this version a mysterious, moody feel that I find intriguing. I love the pseudo panoramic crop you gave to this version, as well as, the freathered border. My only suggestion would be to tone down the yellow a tad, and you’ve got yourself a hauntingly beautiful mood piece!

Thanks for your critique Judy. I quite liked the shot but just didn’t know how to improve it. The original was not satisfactory and I was devoid of inspiration. I agree with you about the toning – it is too heavy. I appreciate your suggestion and wish more people on RB would offer constructive criticism. Cheers!

Margo I like all images – this one certainly does have a moody feel, but agree it may be a tad heavy – would love to see it lightened. I am of 2 minds about the feathered edging – maybe something a little less defined? Hmmmm. That S curve in the path is magic – wonderful seductive lead-in!!!

Nice to have your feedback Rosalie. I think I will come back to this one at some stage – will lighten it and try a more subtle edging. You probably recognized it as being in Victoria Park (next to Sydney University).
