The Glasshouse Mountains were given their name by Captain Cook when he sailed along the coast of Queensland, Australia.

The photo is taken looking south-east and the mountains, from left to right, are, Tibrogargan, Ngungun (front) Beerburrum, Tibberoowuccum, Mt Coonowrin (Crookneck), Tunbudla (the Twins) and Beerwah. The mountains are in the Glasshouse Mountains National Park.
