The small town of Gatton, west of Brisbane, held a Heavy Horse day, where people could go to see these working horses go through their paces. There was also a demonstration/competition for farriers who had to make horseshoes and then fit it on the horse. They were given a limited time to do it and were judged on the quality and fit of the shoe.
