141 Diner was set up in the style of the 1950’s and decorated with LP’s, posters and musical instruments of the time.
We had intended going from Grand Junction to Ouray and back to Grand Junction starting with Route 141. However a sign at the start of the road indicated that the road was closed.
We decided to go as far as we could and headed off. When we arrived in Gateway we found this diner, which was a converted garage, and the owners told us there had been a large rock fall just south of the town. We decided to have lunch before finding another route home and not only had a great meal but received excellent service.
