“The Forth Falls” mural painted by John Lendis, 1990.

The mural is of the second and best of the seven falls which once cascaded down the Forth Falls Creek into the Forth River. Situated between Sheffield and Wilmot the falls were flooded in the 1960’s when Lake Barrington was formed as part of the Mersey Forth Hydro Development. The other falls still exist and can be accessed via Wilmot.

I am a keen amateur photographer (progressing from a Brownie Box to digital) who loves to combine travel and photography. I have travelled extensively in Australia and New Zealand with other trips to parts of UK & Europe, USA, Africa, Scandinavia and Canada. My photography reflects my interest in culture, scenery and wildlife relating to these travels.
