Back in the Boneyard – close up of a dumpster with a little touch of morning dew adding dimension to the shot. Nikon D90 on tripod, Nikon 60mm macro at 5 inches.

dumpster, abstract, red, black, macro

I love macro abstract work of rejected and neglected items in our society, especially rusty old dumpsters (skips) around the back of buildings, battered boats up on dry dock, rotting wood, bark of trees, and so on. Im fascinated by the color and texture that appears with a macro lens. I do almost no post-processing after taking the shot.

  • Yes, I thought I better get a few up as I have been too busy to do RB but had managed a couple of shoots. Appreciate your comments!

Terrific abstract! Yes, the dewdrops give a nice added texture.

  • Thanks Dot. Im not sure one would know they were drops of water without being told, but they add a nice texture as you say.
