I love macro abstract work of rejected and neglected items in our society, especially rusty old dumpsters (skips) around the back of buildings, battered boats up on dry dock, rotting wood, bark of trees, and so on. Im fascinated by the color and texture that appears with a macro lens. I do almost no post-processing after taking the shot.

Wow love those details of the opera house…congrats on the feature!
Thank you SV, appreciate you dropping by.
Yes, definitely larger mode (funny, I didn’t know about using this feature). I never knew that the tiles looked like this….I love the “peacock” kind of geometry/pattern! and it pops framed in the bright white mat – good work M!
…..and congrats on the feature!!
thanks. Yes, the tiles are quite fascinating. I shot it the next day in the evening as the sun was going down but it made the tiles look a horrible mud brown!
Ohhh, yes Marguerite … great composition of lines..& it´s broadening !! ..you are right, like an optical illusion.. also in my “into the green” Greetings, Lena))
Thanks, glad you like it. Im in Sydney currently and never tire of looking at the Opera House, or photographing it
