Opera House Lines by Marguerite Foxon

Available to buy on…

Even regular Opera House goers, and those who regularly photograph the Sydney Opera House will have trouble placing this … its the ceiling of the overhang when you drive your car to the Opera House front door to drop someone off – very few people ever look at the concrete ceiling of the covered area. But there is a lot of beauty and color there for those with eyes to see it.

lines, opera house, building, abstract

I love macro abstract work of rejected and neglected items in our society, especially rusty old dumpsters (skips) around the back of buildings, battered boats up on dry dock, rotting wood, bark of trees, and so on. Im fascinated by the color and texture that appears with a macro lens. I do almost no post-processing after taking the shot.

Who would thought that concrete threw up so many colours. Nice shot!

  • It is very surprising how concrete can reveal colour. Glad you like it!

And trust you to see it M! Beautiful and love the juxtaposition, even if it isn’t a dumpster :-)

  • Its a sad fact of life there are no good (as in grunge good) dumpsters/skips in the Shire!!
