Anita Donohoe
Absolutely beautiful, Marguerite!
We have eucalyptus trees here on the ranch, but our season is tinder dry, wildfires are burning nearby, and there will be no rain to bring out the color of the bark until late this fall, and then I think the rains will be big and harsh.
Seeing this photo gives me an image of firm but gentle rains.
Marguerite Foxon replied
Thanks Anita. I know what wild fires are like from my days in Australia and yes, it seems rain will never come. This green reminds me of the color of the grass after a long drought when the rains come. Thanks for the fav too.

This is a terrific image, and your description is a wonderful addition!
Marguerite Foxon replied
thank you so much Kevin. I always think its helpful to know what a photo is of, and how it was shot if its not obvious.

Thanks Marilyn – the color is quite surprising when you stop to look but the rest of the walkers around the Lake just move right on past them oblivious!!

Beautiful work, love those colour tones!
Marguerite Foxon replied
Appreciate your visit. These particular trees (not found in NZ as far as I know) are quite fascinating in terms of color if you take the time to look at them carefully. they are so abundant around here most people dont look twice at them.

Hi Marguerite, Came across your wonderful photography while browsing through old friends Avonside Girls’ High. After retiring from a career in Kindy teaching I have taken up Painting so really appreciate your close ups and your feel for texture. Robyn Cassidy ( Bailey )
