Mangrove Swamp

Mangrove Swamp

This is from the side of a burnt-out car. I think it looks like an aerial view of a mangrove swamp. Its amazing to me how much color can be found in such a piece of junk. A top flight lens helps! Nikon D90 with 60mm macro handheld 1/60s f16 ISO 800

Mangrove Swamp belongs to the following groups:

Thank you Mariarena for your visit and comment. Im glad you like it. The owner of the junk yard thought I was crazy shooting photos of his rusted and burned out cars!

Yes Marguerite, I understand the feeling. When I go with my camera and spend hours shooting the sand… people think I am crazy… some even come and ask “what are you doing?” Artists have something others don’t… is it crazyness?

  • Marguerite Foxon replied

I think so. We just pluck up courage and do these crazy things! Thanks for the fav of this photo by the way.

Wow, this is beautiful Marquerite, and yes it really does look like an aerial shot, something I really want to do. The colours are superb as with the great textures.

  • Marguerite Foxon replied

Thanks Wayne – appreciate your comments very much. I did shoot a couple of buildings today (one very colorful) so keep an eye out for those when I upload tomorrow. You are the building expert!

Perfect title Margaret – you are to these rust abstracts what Julian is to architectural photography – in a realm all of your own – stunningly beautiful this.

  • Marguerite Foxon replied

Geoff – how nice to see you back and around … you’ve been on vacation or just having a breather from RB? Thanks for your very affirming comment. I took a couple of hundred shots of these burnt out cars at the local junk yard – the owner thought I was nuts!! So you should see a few more in time.
