Sea of Fire

Bark of a eucalyptus tree near the Melbourne Museum. There are several of these wonderful red patches on this tree trunk. Taken with D80 1/250s f/8 ISO 400 macro 105mm handheld.

Stunning colors and patterns. Again, I’m seeing things in your images. This one reminds me of a tropical reef fish peering out from behind the protective branches of some coral. Lovely!
