The Pendulum of Life
Haven’t we all wondered at sometime or another, “what’s it all about?? and
“where are we headed?’ I wrote this about 20 years ago, and it still applies today.
The evening breaks,
the Sun is born
a new day awakens; it is morn.
Shadows lengthen,
the sun sets and then; the day slowly closes, for it’s night time again.
A child is born with much love and pain
some days filled with sunshine; some filled with rain.
For every life given; one’s taken back
For everyone passes but once through life’s track.
Each generation is raised with concern,
Each generation has it’s own candle to burn.
We stand as an audience, we stand and pause
as a new generation voices it’s cause.
The days now fly faster, the clock never ceases,
the people move onward, the pace just increases.
With the closing of the day and the coming of night,
I’m aware of a rhythm, a rhythm of might.
Life with it’s pleasure, life with it’s strife,
the continuous rhythm, the Pendulum of Life.
