Colored portrait on Archers Paper 2ply cold press. I used this paper because I needed a big piece of paper and you can buy this off the roll..32"X40"
Watercolor, watercolor pencils, I spray it when it is finished to bring out more color but also use a hairdryer so it won’t get too wet.
This was a commission ..It was an .Anniversary gift a lady gave her husband. A portrait of himself and all the trucks he drove during his career as a truckdriver.
She gave me pictures to work from but they were pretty small so had to find companys that had these trucks and photograph them so I could get more detail…When I got my material together I had to balance these trucks so the layout was tricky…I remember when I finished it I was so glad and I didn’t want to do anymore trucks for a while…lol….He really loved his anniversary gift. She showed it to me after she had it matted and framed…I was impressed…It all came together so beautifully….The mat and frame make a difference if it is done write…It has to become part of the art and the framer I use does a great job to compliment my work.. I got two more commissions from this piece in their family.
