Camera: Canon EOS 550D
Location : My garden Tarlton, Gauteng, South Africa

Just one sweet little bud
left on an almost-bare rosebush,
leaves having already scattered
in autumn’s breeze.
A little gift from Mother Nature,
one tiny jewel
nestled in a box
of fallen yesterdays.

My peach tree has been in Spring mode since before we had a hugely cold spell and snow on the 7th August 2012 and now the August winds are quickly scattering her beautiful little blossoms and buds all over the garden.

I am a watercolorist living on my little piece of African soil in Tarlton, Gauteng, South Africa. The inspiration for my art is the wonderfully rich variety of Fauna and Flora to be found throughout this beautiful country.

It’s spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you’ve got it, you want – oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! ~Mark Twain
