“The little reed, bending to the force of the wind, soon stood upright again when the storm had passed over.”
- Aesop (Ancient Greek Fabulist and Author of a collection of Greek fables. 620 BC-560 BC)
Zebra grass in my garden – Miscanthus sinensis ‘Zebrinus’ (Chinese silver grass, Eulalia grass, maiden grass, zebra grass, Susuki grass, porcupine grass). Emerald-green foliage will develop golden stripes midsummer, and silvery plumes appear in autumn and last through the winter. It is native to eastern Asia throughout most of China, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea.
The Zebra Grass gets these beautiful white plumes at the onset of winter before dying down.
