“The Rose has but a Summer reign, The daisy never dies.”
- James Montgomery
These beautiful little daisies are just ideal for the sunny part of the garden. They have a spreading habit and will cover any unsightly empty spots in a matter of weeks and thrive with very little attention.
“Erigeron is a genus of about 390 species of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae. The genus has a cosmopolitan distribution with the highest species diversity in North America, where 173 species occur.
Erigeron species are used as food plants by the larvae of some Lepidoptera species including Bucculatrix angustata, Coleophora squamosella (which feeds exclusively on E. acris), Schinia intermontana, Schinia obscurata (both of which also feed exclusively on Erigeron), Schinia sexata (which feeds exclusively on E. glabellus) and Schinia villosa."
