maar môre is ‘n nuwe
(môre mag mos mooi
môre sing die
in die voortuin by die
en sit tinktinkie dalk
weer op sy uitgesoekte

ja môre bring weer
nuwe hoop
waar sy haar paadjie
trippeltreë mag loop
Uittreksel uit Elizabeth Kendall se “Hoop”

I am a watercolorist living on my little piece of African soil in Tarlton, Gauteng, South Africa. The inspiration for my art is the wonderfully rich variety of Fauna and Flora to be found throughout this beautiful country.

Well, That’s not fair…I don’t understand a Word of it…and Want to!! Nevertheless, it is a beautiful piece. Besides, I LOVE stones, especially the rounded ones.

  • Aaaaw JacqueLynn, so sorry! It is one of Elizabeth Kendall’s Afrikaans poems about tomorrow bringing HOPE, but it’s a bit lengthy to translate! I also just love pebbles and incorporate them all over my garden, especially in bare patches, and write inspirational messages on the bigger ones to inspire me! Pleased you like this and thank you for the fav!

Te mooi lê die spoelklippe daar neffens my woorde! Kreatiewe jy!

  • Baie, baie dankie! So bly jy het dit by jou gunstelinge gelas. Ek het ‘Hoop’ ge-Google en dink ek het op hierdie afgekom op Woes…? Kan nou nie mooi onthou nie!
