Let’s start a Gratitude Journal.

  1. Thankfulness is an art framed in appreciation.

Make a weekly list of the simple blessings that you’ve encountered. It will create an awareness for the beauty and delight in the ordinary everyday happenings in your life.

First, really wonderful artwork, as usual. I must sound now like a really badly scratched record; always repeating saying exactly the same thing, endlessly, again and again/or, rather, I sound like being a bit of a parrot! ;-) However, the truth is I mean it every single word.

Second, yea, I think, that’s a really GREAT idea; as in…count up your blessings and NOT your curses. Of course, my purely negative mind was just thinking, maybe, I should start an Ingrattitude Journal, as well…LOL…noting down things which I’m NOT grateful for. Well, anyway, let’s shelve that wholly negative thought for now, at least; and, concentrate on only just positives, alone; concentrating far too much on negatives serves just to hold us back, I can’t, I don’t, I won’t…; whereas, positives tend to keep us moving forwards …I can, I shall, I will/-etc.

  • Lol! That’s the spirit Paul! I’m a great believer in “What you think about, you bring about”, so if I find myself entertaining a negative thought, I quickly look for the positive in it to turn it around. thank you for the fav and your, once again! lovely words, I REALLY do appreciate it!

Both for the lovely image and the wise words. I have never written then down but if I can’t sleep I count my blessings in my mind, I find it calming and reassuring and sleep usually comes. Alma x

  • Excellent! I think it certainly beats counting sheep! Actually, I’ve just given up counting sheep, or anything else for that matter, I just stay awake! Many is the night that I’ve just gone straight through and I also find working in the garden (exercise) to be much better than counting sheep! Smile! Thanks for that fav again Alma!
