‘That rat’, as we’ve been referring to it, which has been the bain of our Jack Russell’s life, has at last been flushed out of it’s hiding place this morning and shown the front door permanently, with Jacko in hot pursuit, losing the trail when the rat took to a tree and disappeared over the roof of the house.
It’s been skulking around inside my Studio for about two weeks now, giving us tantalising little glimpses of himself as he rushes from hiding place to hiding place. At first I thought he might just find his way outside by himself, but this morning I decided to move all the furniture and give him a helping hand! When I found where he was hiding, he actually sat still for a couple of moments, whiskers slightly quivering, giving me the beady eye and assessing the situation before taking off in great haste out of the door.
