Ink sketch, Coffee and watercolour on Bockingford 300gsm

I have this family of Geckos living in my bathroom (Tarlton, Gauteng, South Africa) and they come and go via the wooden doors which are open permanently and lead out to my private garden. My bathroom is also home to various lizards and spiders, who are offered a safe haven in any nook or cranny they can find! Maybe it’s the wooden geckos on the wall that makes them feel at home! lol

I am a watercolorist living on my little piece of African soil in Tarlton, Gauteng, South Africa. The inspiration for my art is the wonderfully rich variety of Fauna and Flora to be found throughout this beautiful country.

Geckos are cute little lizards. Once in a while one gets in my house, but I don’t invite them in or I might get snakes and other things I definitely do not want! You’re brave! Terrific painting of this cute creature, Maree.

  • Aren’t we lucky to have them at our doorsteps Dot? Pleased you like this, thank you!
