Rachele Wildmare is a violinist and visual artist based in Katoomba, in the Blue Mountains, Australia.

The act of playing the violin is a major influence on Mare’s technique as a painter. Other influences include music, lifeforce energy, the processes of nature and the complexity of nature.

Mare has had 3 solo exhibitions, as well as presenting paintings in the Crockett Group Art Prize (08 & 09), where she sold one of her more significant works. (Oct 08).

She is currently exhibiting work in two group exhibitions of BMAC members; Firstly at The Edge (Oct-Dec 09), and also in ‘Art with Altitude’ at the Newington Armory Gallery, Sydney Olympic Park (Nov 09 to 24 Jan 10).

Her abstract painting was recently used in an advertising campaign in Sweden for AstraZeneca
(Oct 09).

Mare was featured in a solo exhibition of music-inspired paintings at Savoy in Katoomba from March to June 08, where she exhibited 16 paintings, and sold some of her best work.

She had several solo exhibitions in 2007. An exhibition of paintings at ‘The Shed’, Katoomba for 3 months, until Nov 07. And in August 2007 she exhibited 12 paintings and over 60 digital artworks at The Clarendon in conjunction with a performace of moZaiKa’s music, and a multimedia presentation of Mare’s digital work.

Mare is inspired and motivated by the wonder of life, nature and the creative process itself.
