Stunning shot. Is that from Kirribilli wharf? Needless to say, there’s only one building in the world that has a silhouette like that one. Very nicely done.
Thanks Gary,The pier is one of the piers in Campbells Cove, I had taken the same shot the day before, without much success, but decided to go back at dawn the next day. This was the first shot of the day.

Mark — this is lovely … having looked at some of your work, I’m now SO flattered that you thought my Yosemite wide angle was good. I am in awe of some of yours. KUDOS.
Thank you for the lovely compliment Peggy. Taking good shots is 90% about being in the right place at the right time, I had tried this shot three days running and it just was not right. On my third and final sunrise in Sydney this happened. I knew it could be a good shot just had to wait for the conditions to be right. The thing is to keep trying.
When I get to heaven, I hope it has sunrises like this. A-may-zing.
Thanks StarBellyDesign,Sunrises like this are rare, the next day a big dust storm hit Sydney and I think the atmospherics created by that provided me with this sky. Some times nature conspires to give you the perfect shot other times we just have to make the best of what we have.
beautiful composition Mark!
Thank you Aleksander
This is a brilliant shot thats well composed and has great colours, Tina:))

Thank you Biddumy, I wanted to get a shot different to the classical Opera House shots, This one was perfect for what I wanted to achieve.
